Do It Yourself

Kathy Bebee Making Canna Butter - Sunday 1:15pm

Many patients prefer to eat their cannabis. The problem is that the plant tastes so foul. Coffee shop and bakery owner Kathy, demonstrates a fool-proof method to extract the active ingredients out of cannabis and infuse it into butter. The used plant material is discarded and the butter used to make “med-ibles,” or marijuana laced foods.

Cary Spradlin Making Bubble Hash: Trash to treasure - Saturday 2:30pm

Typically the trimmings left over when medical marijuana is manicured is thrown away even though it still contains some active ingredients, albeit in lower amounts than the buds and floor tops. Cary demonstrates how to make bubble hash, a concentrated extract from those otherwise wasted trimmings.

Victor Hansen DIY Ebb & Flow Table - Sunday 12:00pm

Solid, well built tables are a must in any grow room. Long time do it yourself-er Victor provides easy to follow, step-by-step directions for building your own Ebb & Flow Table. There will be an additional materials fee for this class.

Steve Karapandza DIY Heat-gun Vaporizer - Sunday 2:30pm

The active ingredients in medical marijuana are absorbed into the blood stream most rapidly through the lungs. But smoking is the least healthy way to ingest marijuana. Vaporizing, where the plant material is heated to a temperature high enough to release the active ingredients as a vapor but not enough to burn delivers medicine to the lungs without the harmful by-products of combustion. Steve will lead his students through the process of putting together a simple vaporizer from common materials. There will be an additional materials fee for this class.

Jeremy Thumb DIY Aerocloner - Saturday 12:00pm

Cloning—using a cutting off a known female plant of high quality to create a new plant—shaves weeks of time off the grow cycle and guarantees the final plant will be of equally highly high quality. Jeremy will help students master the east techniques involved and then show them how to make their own aero-cloner. There will be an additional materials fee for this class. General Education
